The concept for Wise Eats originated from a YouTube show that premiered in 2016 called The Following Announcement, which is a story about a bunch of retired backyard wrestlers, told in the style of a live-action Beavis and Butthead.

One of the stars and executive producer of the show, Lord Deezus, wanted to give me my own segment on his show. Since healthy eating and being physically fit was already such a major part of my life, he recommended we do a cooking show called Wise Eats. Through the Following Announcement show, we created funny cooking segments and skits featuring some of my favorite healthy recipes. A complete list of these recipe videos and more are available here.

My segment on The Following Announcement is a fun piece of entertainment, but the recipes are real, the philosophy is real, and the results are real. The premiere of this show was the culmination of a 9-year journey in which I quit smoking, lost 90lbs, and got in excellent physical shape.

In mid-2016, I realized that Wise Eats wasn’t just a spin-off show, it could be its own brand. I knew that I had a story to tell, and Wise Eats was how I was going to do it. I decided it was time to share my experience by starting up my own website, YouTube show, and podcast.

Wise Eats is more than food; it’s food for thought. It’s a philosophy: It’s about making healthy choices, developing positive habits, living an optimized lifestyle, and setting an example for your peers. It’s about strengthening your body, mind, and spirit. It’s about eating smart but also making Wise choices in all aspects of life.

I want you to live the live you were meant to live by empowering you to improve your energy levels, performance, overall health, fitness, and diet. At 270lbs, I realized I was on a one-way path to nowhere, and decided to make a change before it was too late. By getting serious about my health and fitness, I completely changed my life. I’m confident, happy, and have a body I could have only dreamed about in 2009. I have more energy, creativity, compassion, and gratitude than ever before. And I hope my experience can inspire others.

Each video, podcast, or newsletter, I want you to come away with something useful in your everyday life that’s going to help maximize your potential. My promise is to deliver no-strings-attached information that is crafted with integrity and authenticity. You will never get any advice from me that I’m not implementing in my own life. Just good tips that you can apply immediately.

Your health is your greatest asset, and without it, you are nothing. Don’t wait until it’s too late to get serious about your lifestyle habits. Don’t wait until you’re fighting sickness, or taking medication, or battling a disease, or laid up in a hospital bed before you decide to make a change to better your health.

Take control of your health, because once you do, you control every aspect of your life. When you give your body and mind the raw materials they need to perform at their best, you are capable of accomplishing anything. No matter what your goal is, Wise-Eats.com will be providing useful tips that can advance you to the next level in your journey. Your health and vitality flow into every aspect of your being.

Whether it’s eating, exercising, performing at work, hanging with family, pursuing a passion project, or anything else, I want you to be at your best. That’s what “Wise Eats” is all about.
